Real work for real businesses

A look at how we help businesses across manufacturing, publishing, e-commerce and personal brands grow online. Client names are kept confidential, but the challenges, the work and the approach are exactly as they happened.

Industrial Machinery

01Turning Heavy Machinery into a Steady Stream of B2B Content

Challenge

An industrial printing machinery company sells complex, high-value equipment to businesses that take their time before they buy. Buyers want to see a machine running, understand how it is installed and hear from the people behind the company before they pick up the phone. The company had plenty of real activity on the ground: installations, demos, satisfied customers. What it lacked was a consistent way to turn that activity into content that works across its website and social channels.

What we did

Since January 2024, we have worked with the company on an ongoing retainer covering its digital presence end to end:

  • Website and maintenance – keeping the site current, secure and running smoothly through our website development and maintenance work.
  • Machine videos – editing installation and running footage into formats built for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Director-led brand and product videos – putting the company’s leadership in front of the camera to explain the products and the thinking behind them.
  • Testimonial edits – shaping customer footage into short, credible proof pieces.
  • A monthly LinkedIn article plus regular machine posts to keep the brand visible to decision-makers.
  • Festival creatives that keep the brand present at key moments in the Indian calendar.

Approach

B2B machinery marketing works best when it shows rather than tells. Our approach starts with the raw material the company already produces every week: machines being installed, tested and running at customer sites. We edit that footage into video and reels sized and paced for each platform, so one shoot can feed several channels.

On top of that product proof, we add a human layer. Director-led videos give buyers a sense of who they are dealing with, and testimonial edits let customers speak for the company. LinkedIn gets particular attention because that is where procurement heads, plant owners and business decision-makers spend their professional time. The monthly article gives the brand a space for deeper, more considered thinking, while machine posts keep the feed active between articles.

Festival creatives may look like a small item, but in the Indian B2B market they matter. They keep the relationship warm with existing customers and dealers, and they show a company that is present and paying attention.

Throughout, we keep the visual language and tone consistent so that a viewer meeting the brand on YouTube recognises it on LinkedIn or the website.

Ongoing scope

The engagement continues as a monthly retainer. Each month brings a fresh cycle of machine videos, posts, a LinkedIn article and seasonal creatives, alongside continuous website upkeep. Because we have worked with the company’s products and people over a long period, we can turn new footage around quickly and keep content aligned with how the business actually sells.

Lubricants Manufacturing

02Acting as the Outsourced Marketing Head for a Lubricants Manufacturer

Challenge

A lubricants manufacturer with a factory in western India needed more than a social media vendor. It needed someone to own marketing as a whole: content, search, social, ads guidance, lead capture and brand consistency across several sub-brands, while also preparing to launch a new home-care line. Building a full in-house team for all of that would take time. The company wanted a single partner who could think like a marketing head and deliver like a full team.

What we did

Since January 2025, Nicom has acted as the company’s outsourced marketing head on a monthly retainer. The scope covers:

  • Social content – reels, static and carousel posts, and LinkedIn posts, managed through our social media management and video and reels services.
  • SEO product articles – 25 to 30 articles a month built around the product range, as part of a wider content marketing and SEO programme.
  • YouTube guide videos that explain products and their applications.
  • Website content and a weekly newsletter to keep customers and distributors informed.
  • Paid ads guidance for B2B campaigns on Meta and Google.
  • WhatsApp lead-capture flows using WhatsApp automation so enquiries don’t slip through the cracks.
  • Brand consistency across the company’s sub-brands.
  • Product copy for the new home-care line.

In October 2026, we published article sets for seven products across the website, Medium, Reddit and Quora.

Approach

Lubricants are a technical, specification-driven category. Buyers, whether workshop owners, fleet operators or distributors, search for specific answers: which grade suits which engine, how a product performs, what it is used for. We built the content plan around those real questions. Each product gets articles that explain its use cases plainly, and those articles are then distributed beyond the company’s own website to platforms where buyers already ask questions.

Video and social do the job of making the brand familiar. YouTube guides answer the “how” questions, reels and carousels keep the brand visible, and LinkedIn speaks to trade and B2B audiences. The weekly newsletter keeps existing relationships active.

As the marketing head, we also look after the joins between channels. Ad guidance is aligned with the content being produced, WhatsApp flows capture the interest that content and ads create, and every sub-brand follows a consistent set of brand rules so the portfolio feels like one company. For the home-care line, we wrote product copy suited to a consumer audience, which is a different register from the industrial range.

Ongoing scope

The retainer continues month on month, with a steady rhythm of articles, videos, social posts and newsletters, plus ongoing guidance on ads, lead capture and brand. New product article sets are rolled out across multiple platforms as the range grows.

B2B Magazine Publishing

03Running a Six-Site WordPress Network for a B2B Magazine Publisher

Challenge

A B2B magazine publishing group runs titles across several trade sectors, including pets, publishing and print, and signage. Each title has its own website, and each one needs to carry every new issue, keep its archive complete and stay healthy in search. For a publisher, the websites are the long-term home of its journalism. Gaps in the archive, cluttered indexing or slow pages make years of work harder to find.

What we did

Nicom is a long-standing partner to the group. We manage six WordPress sites and upload every issue as it is published, through our WordPress development and website maintenance services.

Recent work in October 2026 included:

  • Table-of-contents posts for issues, so readers and search engines can see what each edition contains at a glance.
  • Archive covers for 2016 to 2019, filling in gaps so the back catalogue presents as a complete, browsable record.
  • Technical SEO on one of the sites, covering noindex cleanup, performance tuning with WP-Optimize, and Search Console setup and review, as part of our technical and on-page SEO work.

Approach

Publishing websites have a particular rhythm. Issues arrive on a schedule, and the sites need to reflect them promptly and accurately. Because we have worked with the group for a long time, issue uploads follow a reliable routine, and the editorial team doesn’t have to think about the mechanics.

Beyond the routine, we look for ways to make the content work harder. A magazine issue uploaded as a single file is useful to someone who already knows it exists. A table-of-contents post turns that issue into something searchable and shareable, with each article title visible on the page. Filling in archive covers does something similar for older material: it makes the history of each title visible and gives returning readers a clear way to explore past editions.

The technical SEO work focused on making sure the right pages are visible to search engines and the wrong ones are not. Cleaning up noindex settings ensures valuable pages are not accidentally hidden, while optimisation keeps the site lean. Connecting and reviewing Search Console gives the group a clear view of how search engines see the site, which SEO decisions can then build on.

Running six sites also means keeping things consistent. We maintain a common standard across the network so each title benefits from improvements made on the others.

Ongoing scope

The engagement continues with issue uploads for every title, ongoing site management across all six WordPress sites, and further archive and SEO improvements as priorities emerge.

Astrology & Vastu Consulting

04Building a Multi-Platform Personal Brand for a Jyotish and Vastu Consultant

Challenge

A Jyotish and Vastu consultant had deep expertise and years of research, but needed a consistent, credible presence across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Personal brands in this space live or die on trust. The audience wants to see the person, understand their thinking and feel confident that the advice is grounded. That takes regular, well-produced content and a recognisable visual identity, which is hard to sustain alongside a full consulting practice.

What we did

Since April 2026, Nicom has handled the consultant’s content on a monthly retainer, as part of our work with personal brands and professionals. The scope includes:

  • Full content production for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn: topic planning, scripts, shoots, edits, thumbnails and carousels.
  • A regular YouTube publishing schedule, running since June 2026, with each video produced end to end through our video and reels service.
  • LinkedIn articles adapted from the consultant’s research theses, published via our LinkedIn work.
  • A defined visual brand style that ties every platform together, developed through our creative design team.
  • WordPress work on the consultant’s website.
  • Webinar promotion across channels.

Approach

We started by defining the brand: how the consultant looks and sounds on screen, the colours and type used on thumbnails and carousels, and the tone of the writing. With that in place, every piece of content reinforces the same identity, whether someone finds the consultant on YouTube or scrolls past a carousel on Instagram.

Content planning is built around the questions people actually ask about Jyotish and Vastu. We turn those into topics, write scripts that keep the consultant’s voice, and handle the shoot and edit so that the consultant can focus on what they know best. YouTube is the anchor for longer explanations, while shorter cuts and carousels carry the same ideas to Instagram and Facebook.

LinkedIn plays a different role. The consultant’s research theses are substantial pieces of work, and we adapt them into articles that suit a professional audience. This positions the consultant as a serious thinker, not just a content creator.

Webinar promotion pulls the channels together, using social content and the website to drive interest in live sessions where the audience can engage directly.

Ongoing scope

The retainer continues with regular YouTube videos, social posts and carousels, LinkedIn articles, website updates and promotion for upcoming webinars, all within the established brand style.

Home Appliances E-commerce

05An SEO and UX Foundation for a Home Appliances E-commerce Brand

Challenge

A home appliances e-commerce brand based in Noida had a working online store but was missing several of the basics that help a site get found and trusted. Product and core pages lacked structured SEO, the Contact and Support page didn’t serve customers as well as it should, the site had no favicon, and Search Console wasn’t set up. Each gap was small on its own. Together, they held the store back from making a strong first impression on both shoppers and search engines.

What we did

In October 2026, Nicom delivered a focused one-time project covering:

  • Rank Math SEO for 12 pages and 47 products, setting titles, meta descriptions and on-page settings as part of our technical and on-page SEO service.
  • A redesign of the Contact and Support page so customers can find help quickly.
  • A favicon, giving the brand a recognisable mark in browser tabs, bookmarks and search results.
  • Google Search Console setup, so the brand can see how its site appears in search.

Approach

For an e-commerce store, product pages are where search traffic turns into sales. We worked through each page and product in Rank Math, writing titles and descriptions that describe what each appliance is and who it is for, in the plain language shoppers actually use when they search. Core pages received the same treatment, so the site presents a clear, consistent picture to search engines.

The Contact and Support page got attention because, for appliances, after-sales confidence is part of the buying decision. A shopper weighing up a purchase wants to know that help is easy to reach. We redesigned the page to make support options clear and simple to act on, drawing on our website design and development experience.

The favicon and Search Console setup are quick wins, but they matter. A favicon makes the store look finished and trustworthy. Search Console gives the brand a direct line to how Google sees the site, from indexing to search queries, so future SEO work can be guided by real data rather than guesswork.

We kept the project tightly scoped so it could be delivered efficiently and leave the brand with a solid foundation it can build on.

Ongoing scope

This was a one-time project. The brand now has optimised pages and products, a clearer support experience and Search Console in place, ready for future SEO and content work whenever it chooses to take the next step.
